Computer Science

The study of computers and everything around them.

My time in university was spent studying computers, how they work at the very base level, how we can manipulate them to create software of all sorts, and how it, very possibly, is the biggest driving factor in the betterment of the world.

The subjects I was introduced to during my four-year major, which gave me my bachelor of science degree, was a lot more rounded than one might expect. My colleagues and I did not spend the entirety of our time writing code, but instead learning theory, history, networking, neural networks, hardware architecture, data structures, algorithms, mathematics such as probability and statistics, calculus and algebra, and everything in between…

My education was not limited to technical studies either! I was exposed to many fronts of society, from law and religion, to civic activism, English literature, sciences such as chemistry and physics, and much more.
